We are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor for our Liquid Department. The PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR will supervise employees to maximize safety, quality, and productivity. Key responsibilities include daily production scheduling, lot control, inventory accuracy, reporting, sanitation, housekeeping, and adherence to standard operating procedures. Assures correct preparation of powder (order, weight-outs, etc.). Shared responsibility for new methods e.g. 5 S, standardized work, methods improvements, and computerized weigh-out system.



Overtime, which includes Saturdays, will be required as scheduled based upon individual job responsibilities and the needs of the department.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Safety (line inspections, department safety audits, safety meetings)

  • Quality (high-quality production, quality audits, clean environment) HACCP, Verification of CCP's

  • Lot control, inventory accuracy, and reporting

  • Develop and operate within SOPs

  • Cost/Production efficiency, maintenance, strategic planning for the continuation of production

  • Sanitation and housekeeping

  • Employee relations issues



QUALIFICATIONS


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.



EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE



  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or lead experience in the food or beverage manufacturing industry required.

  • A college degree is preferred.

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate employees.



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES



  • Lead by example, professionally, morally, and ethically.

  • Highly organized, methodical, disciplined, and detail-oriented.

  • Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge.

  • Knowledge and experience with GMP and safety regulations.

  • Good verbal & written communication skills are required.

  • Basic computer skills within programs such as Microsoft Office and the internet are required.

  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is required.



BENEFITS AND SALARY


The minimum compensation for the Production Supervisor is $27.74 per hour. Due to this being a 2nd shift opportunity, the shift differential to be paid for all time worked on 2nd shift is an additional $.50 per hour. The Jel Sert Company is committed to pay transparency and will provide further compensation information during the interview process. Compensation is determined by a candidate's experience, education, skills, training, and the internal equity within our organization. Actual compensation to be paid will be determined upon an offer.
