Ferrero is hiring a Production Supervisor - Industrial Graduate for the Franklin Park, IL plant. You will supervise sanitation/preparation areas to ensure Ferrero product quality and oversee daily production optimization, inventory control, and line resource planning.

Qualifications

• Graduated (BS/MS) within 1 year of graduation; GPA 3.0 or greater on 4.0 scale.
• Preference to those with degrees in manufacturing, operations management, or food science.
• Candidate must be open to relocation.
• Ambition to work in a fast paced, manufacturing environment.
• Highly proficient with use of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily activities associated with the optimization of production factors (material, method, labor, machinery).
• Oversee all production phases within area of competence (Preparation, Packaging).
• Manage inventory within area of responsibility.
• Ensure presence of materials for successive shifts via coordination with packaging lead.
• Lead and coordinate all resources on the lines.
• Consult with UGP Manager regarding resource allocation and skills development.
• Apply criteria to resource management and changes on the lines.
• Follow escalation process and manage conflicts, disciplinary meetings as needed.
• Select line personnel and plan direct co-workers.
• Provide HR with hiring feedback and evaluate new hires.
• Support medium-long term line resource planning.
• Implement measures to avoid incidents and reduce absences.
• Advise on skills development guidelines and execution.
• Identify and propose continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity and reduce waste.
