Job summary

Pepsi Bottling Ventures, the nation’s largest private bottler and distributor of Pepsi beverages, is seeking a Production Supervisor I for the 6am–6pm shift. You will oversee production-line staff, uphold safety, and ensure a quality product that meets company standards.

You will manage start‑ups, set up equipment, monitor materials and line performance, coordinate with maintenance and QA, and help drive cost efficiency.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Bachelor’s or Associate degree preferred.
Three to five years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or related field.
OSHA and production standards experience.
Attention to detail, organization, prioritization, problem solving and communication skills.
Computer proficiency, numerical aptitude, accounting and P&L spreadsheet experience required.

Responsibilities

Supervises, motivates, and directs production line personnel.
Ensures safety and compliance with all policies and procedures.
Prepares start‑up procedures and properly sets up equipment.
Checks production schedule, codes, and daily run readiness.
Monitors quality control of materials, water temps, and downtime.

Production Supervisor I Role Overview

To manage production line employees, ensure their safety and the production of a quality product that meets or exceeds company standards, while managing cost effectiveness.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

Supervises, motivates, and provides ongoing direction to production line personnel.
Provides corrective action to enforce all policies and procedures and ensure safety.
Relieves employees when necessary.
Shuts down production line when necessary.
Prepares start‑up procedures, properly sets‑up equipment, checks production schedule, sets production codes, examines product for daily run, schedules employee hours/breaks and ensures workstation assignments are ready to run on time.
Ensures proper raw materials are in line for product to be run.
Supervises flavor changes and hook‑ups for correct flavor changes; changes tanks, switches lines and codes; monitors quality control of water and temperatures.
Monitors machinery to ensure proper operation, takes and records hourly meter readings, logs down time and defective raw materials.
Learns proper operation of all production line equipment and the forklift.
Communicates with previous shift superintendent regarding status of production lines.
Consults with Maintenance Mechanics and Quality Control Department regarding issues.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree preferred.
Three (3) to five (5) years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or related field required.
Must also have OSHA and production standards experience.
Must demonstrate attention to detail, organization, prioritization, problem solving and communication skills.
Computer proficiency, numerical aptitude, accounting and P&L spreadsheet experience is also required.
