Job summary

MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC is seeking a BMA Production Specialist to support daily manufacturing in the Battery Module Assembly area, driving efficiency and quality improvements.

You will collaborate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Materials teams to resolve issues, implement corrective actions, and sustain standardized work across shifts. The role emphasizes safety, training, and operational excellence in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ years of manufacturing, assembly, or production experience in a high-volume environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize product and equipment knowledge to maximize production efficiency while ensuring the manufacture of high-quality products.
  • Support issue resolution by conducting root cause analysis and implementing sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
  • Apply structured problem-solving methodologies to drive rapid and lasting performance improvements.
  • Partner with Process Engineering to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and support initiatives focused on reducing scrap, cycle time, and equipment downtime.
  • Ensure adherence to established procedures for data collection, documentation, reporting, and process control.
  • Coordinate the effective utilization of raw materials and production resources to support operational goals.
  • Monitor daily performance metrics and KPIs, driving actions to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, cost reduction, productivity, efficiency, and environmental performance.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Materials, Maintenance, Quality, and other internal departments to resolve production-related challenges.
  • Assist in coaching and developing Production Supervisors and team members on standardized work, problem-solving techniques, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Promote consistent work practices and ensure production teams follow established standard operating procedures across all shifts.
  • Support training efforts by providing guidance and technical assistance to production team members on processes, equipment, and best practices.
  • Participate in Kaizen activities and continuous improvement projects to enhance operational performance and manufacturing efficiency.

Role Overview

The BMA Production Specialist is responsible for supporting daily production operations within the Battery Module Assembly (BMA) area by assembling battery module units, driving process improvements, and serving as a technical resource for production teams. This role plays a critical part in achieving safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets while supporting training initiatives and standardized work practices.

The BMA Production Specialist collaborates closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Materials teams to identify and resolve operational issues, improve manufacturing performance, and support continuous improvement efforts. Success in this role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of manufacturing, assembly, or production experience in a high-volume environment. .
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while managing multiple priorities

  • Strong sense of urgency and commitment to achieving production goals and departmental objectives.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to analyze production data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and manufacturing best practices.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of hands‑on manufacturing experience in an automotive, battery, aerospace, or other high-volume industrial environment.
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Business Management, or related field.
  • Experience in automotive, battery, electronics, or advanced manufacturing environments.
Working Conditions
  • Frequent standing, walking, and movement throughout the manufacturing facility.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 35 pounds.
  • Exposure to manufacturing equipment, moving machinery, and industrial work environments.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
