Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Hamilton, OH seeks a Production Supervisor to coordinate multiple production departments and drive efficiency. You will ensure quality, safety, cost control, and customer satisfaction while leading teams effectively.

You’ll report issues, plan assignments, and work with Engineering, Material Control, Quality Control, and HR to optimize schedules and processes. Strong Lean manufacturing experience is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED; Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 6-10 years of relevant experience (required).
  • 6+ years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Certification(s) preferred.
  • Prior production leadership experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment (required).
  • Knowledge and use of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
  • Proficiency in related systems and software.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure production meets the goals of product quality, cost effectiveness, safe conditions, and customer satisfaction.
  • Report issues regarding production, quality, maintenance, or personnel problems.
  • Plan work assignments to maximize utilization of manpower, materials, equipment, and facilities.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on new or revised methods, layouts, processes, and equipment to increase efficiency or reduce costs.
  • Coordinate with Material Control on production schedules and parts; provide feedback on schedule status and changes.
  • Work with Quality Control on maintenance and interpretation of quality standards.
  • Communicate changes or conditions affecting production to management.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources on employee or labor relations matters.
  • Assure compliance with plant rules, policies, safety standards and housekeeping.

Job Overview

The Production Supervisor coordinates the operations of all production departments in the unit.
