Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Ohio is seeking a Production Supervisor to coordinate the operations of all production departments. You will drive output that meets quality, safety, cost and customer satisfaction goals while leading teams across shifts.

You will plan work assignments to maximize manpower, materials, equipment and facilities, collaborate with Engineering on methods, and work with Material Control, Quality Control and Human Resources to ensure smooth, compliant plant operations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED; Associate/Bachelor's preferred.
  • 6–10 years of relevant experience required.
  • 6+ years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Prior production leadership in Lean environments required.
  • Knowledge of Lean concepts and tools.
  • Proficiency with related systems and software.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure production meets goals for quality, cost, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan work assignments for max utilization of manpower, materials, equipment, and facilities.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on methods, layouts, processes, and equipment to improve efficiency.
  • Coordinate with Material Control on schedules and parts; provide status feedback.
  • Work with Quality Control on maintaining and interpreting quality standards.
  • Communicate changes to management that may affect production.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources on labor relations matters.
  • Ensure compliance with plant rules, safety standards and housekeeping.

The Production Supervisorcoordinates the operations of all production departments in the unit.

  • Ensuring that production meets the goals of product quality, cost effectiveness, safe conditions, and customer satisfaction.
  • Planning work assignments to achieve maximum utilization of manpower, materials, equipment, and facilities.
  • Working with Engineering personnel concerning new or revised methods, layouts, processes, and equipment to increase operating efficiency, reduce costs or improve quality.
  • Working with Material Control personnel concerning production schedules, parts, etc. Providing feedback on status of schedule and needs for change.
  • Working with Quality Control personnel concerning the maintenance and interpretation of quality standards.
  • Communicating to management any changes or conditions which may affect production.
  • Working with Human Resources concerning employee or labor relations matters.
  • Assuring compliance with plant rules, policies, safety standards and good housekeeping.
