Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC in Newington, NH is seeking a Production Leader to guide a team toward incident-free performance in a continuous manufacturing environment. You will lead and coordinate efforts across safety, reliability, quality, production, and cost to maximize value for the business and customers.

You will work a night shift (6PM–6:30AM) with Team 2 on a rotating schedule, requiring flexibility for weekend and holiday hours.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of supervisor or leadership experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or military environment.
  • Willing and able to work nights, days, weekends, and holiday work hours; shift schedule may change.
  • Experience driving safe work practices, including Lock Out/Tag Out, forklift safety, machine guarding, hazardous materials, etc.
  • Experience using a computer for record-keeping, documentation, and reporting, including Microsoft Office.

The shift for this position, is Team 2.

You will work 6PM to 6:30AM every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday.

Our Newington, NH facility has a rich history of producing gypsum wallboard products for a wide variety of customers. Georgia‑Pacific’s Building Products business is consistently among the nation’s top suppliers of building products to large warehouse retailers and building materials dealers.

  • Collaborating with Safety, Environmental, Maintenance, Operations, and Quality Leaders to gain the knowledge tools to elevate a team to its full potential.

  • Facilitating team and employee development, problem‑solving and resolution, building employee commitment, ownership, and holding employees accountable.
  • Taking accountability of safety, quality and efficiency through leadership, individual ownership, teamwork, and delegation.
  • Coaching, motivating, and mentoring the team to drive safe and efficient behaviors leading to positive outcomes. Taking corrective action measures as needed.
  • Using critical & economic thinking, challenge process, and team collaboration to resolve issues and drive innovation, efficiency, and safety excellence.
  • Completing paperwork and reports with accuracy to meet deadlines.
  • Leveraging strong oral and written communication skills to communicate with the facility team, leadership, and corporate associates in Atlanta.
  • Using organization and planning skills to execute value driven tasks in a timely, purposeful, and orderly fashion.
  • Using critical thinking, processes, and collaboration to troubleshoot equipment and machinery.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • A minimum of two (2) years supervisor or leadership experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or military environment.
  • Willing and able to work nights, days, weekends, and holiday work hours. Shift schedule is subject to change during employment based on business needs.
  • Experience driving safe work practices, including Lock Out/Tag Out, forklift safety, machine guarding, hazardous materials, etc.
  • Experience using a computer for record‑keeping, documentation, and reporting, including experience with Microsoft Office.
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in technical or business discipline.
  • Two years of gypsum wallboard experience or a minimum 4 years of Georgia‑Pacific manufacturing experience.
  • Experience using basic accounting and financial knowledge.
  • Experience working in continuous improvement environments.
