Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Gypsum’s Newington, NH facility is hiring entry-level Production Operators. The role involves operating equipment to target specs, monitoring computer control systems, and performing basic asset care in a loud, hot, non-climate-controlled environment.

Shifts are 12-hour, with night shift 6:00pm–6:30am; weekends, holidays and overtime as needed. Starting pay is $27.00/hour with night differential; comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of work experience.
• Ability to operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets.
• Comfort with computer/ tablet use and basic tech to monitor systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets.

• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing/pulling for up to 12 hours in a loud, industrial environment.
• Work in hot, humid, and noisy conditions with dust, grease, oil and chemicals.

ENTRY-LEVEL - Production Operator - Newington, NH

Georgia-Pacific Gypsum is seeking motivated and safety-oriented individuals to join our team as Production Operators at our Newington, NH facility.

This position creates value by supporting our operations team in the continuous manufacturing our of wallboard product. Compensation

• Starts at $27.00/hour and up depending on your level of experience
• Night shift differential - $1.50-$2.00/hour

Schedule

• This position operates on 12-hour straight shifts
• We are currently hiring for night shift: 6:00pm-6:30am
• Our schedules do include weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.

What You Will Do

• Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets
• Monitor and/or entry into computer control systems
• Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production
• Perform basic asset care duties to include routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of work area
• Work as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals
• Operate and/or work around mobile equipment that ranges from forklifts to heavy equipment
• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day, in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment
• Work in an industrial environment that is hot, humid, and noisy. Work around dust grease, oil and other chemical substances. This is a non-climate-controlled facility, meaning temperatures can be very high in the summer, and cold in the winter.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• At least 1 year of work experience

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience in a manufacturing, agricultural, warehouse OR military environment OR completion of post high school education in manufacturing/industrial
• Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device
• Experience troubleshooting equipment in a manufacturing setting
• Experience operating a heavy load forklift
