Job summary

Toledo Tool & Die is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a shift in a manufacturing setting in Toledo, OH. The role requires overseeing production teams, enforcing safety, and coordinating with other supervisors to meet output targets.

The ideal candidate will have prior supervisory experience in manufacturing, along with experience in resistance welding and robotic welding. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old and eligible to work in the United States.
• Previous Production Supervisor or similar role in manufacturing.
• Experience with high-volume resistance welding in manufacturing.
• Experience with robotic welding in manufacturing.
• Able to work overtime (daily, weekends, holidays).
• Reliable, with good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve safety, production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
• Enforce safety regulations.
• Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as inspectors and operators.
• Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
• Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
• Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
• Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures or assign employee training to experienced workers.
• Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
• Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Authority to stop production in the event unsafe parts or conditions appear.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor and/or Manager, which may be outside the scope of responsibilities noted above.
