Job summary

Toledo Tool & Die is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor in Toledo, Ohio to support our growing operations. This full-time role oversees material handling, schedules shipments, and coordinates with production to ensure on-time delivery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Candidates should have at least five years of shipping/receiving experience, proficiency with Word/Excel/ERP, and the ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least five years in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ERP systems and MS Office.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate and develop Materials Department personnel to support production and forecast demand.
• Plan work assignments and equipment allocations to meet operational goals.
• Review orders, production schedules, and shipping notices to determine work sequences and dates.
• Prepare documents such as work orders and shipping orders.
• Record shipment data and manage routing and costs.
• Communicate to resolve issues like damage or shortages.
• Maintain safety and orderly work areas.
• Supervise in accordance with safety standards.

Toledo Tool & Die is adding a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor to our team to support our continued growth.

• 3rd Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 9:30pm - 6:30am.

Must be available to work overtime (daily, weekends & some holidays)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Utilize positive employee techniques to lead, coordinate and develop Materials Department personnel to support production, forecast demand and/or create supply plans to ensure availability of materials or products.
• Plan work assignments and equipment allocations to meet operational goals.
• Review orders, production schedules or shipping/receiving notices to determine work sequences and material shipping dates, types, volumes or destinations.
• Prepare documents, such as work orders, bill of lading, or shipping orders to route materials.
• Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages or discrepancies for report accounting or recordkeeping purposes.
• Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes & rates.
• Correspond with established representatives to resolve problems, such as damage, shortages or nonconformance to specifications.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Authority to stop production in the event unsafe parts or conditions appear.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor and/or Manager, which may be outside the scope of responsibilities noted above.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least five (5) years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is needed for this occupation. Preferably with an OEM or Tier I/II supplier in the automotive environment.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), ERP Software
• Meet or exceed the job requirements of the job.
• Identified candidates must be able to work overtime (daily, weekends and holidays).
