Job summary

Palmetto Gourmet Foods is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead one to two production lines on a 12‑hour shift, ensuring safe operations, on‑time schedules, and high product quality. You will oversee up to 30 employees, drive continuous improvement, and partner with Quality, Maintenance, and Planning teams to maximize throughput.

The role emphasizes Lean/Six Sigma, safety leadership, and adherence to GMP/HACCP/SQF and FDA/USDA standards to support a compliant, efficient food manufacturing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Proven track record leading production teams to meet goals.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and performance management.
• Ability to analyze data and drive improvements.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 1–2 production lines on 12‑hour shifts.
• Ensure schedules are executed safely, efficiently, and on time.
• Monitor staffing and allocate resources to meet demand.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse and Planning teams.
• Drive improvements in productivity, line performance, and waste reduction.
• Lead safety meetings and enforce all policies.
• Ensure GMP, HACCP, SQF, FDA/USDA compliance where applicable.
• Manage KPI metrics: safety, quality, throughput, labor efficiency, OEE, schedule attainment.
• Directly supervise and develop up to 30 employees, conduct evaluations.
