Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Pomona, CA is seeking a Fabrication Production Supervisor to lead production lines, improve safety, and drive quality while coordinating with Engineering. The role requires hands-on leadership, manufacturing supervision, and ability to translate engineering drawings into action.

At least 2+ years in a supervisory fabrication/assembly setting, with strong data analysis and project management skills.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in Assembly/Manufacturing with supervision in Fabrication or related field.
Mechanical proficiency with hand tools.
Project Management Experience.
Proficiency in data collection and analysis.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
Strong leadership and time management skills.
Understanding of management approaches for work direction, motivation, talent development, and performance management.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Improve safety and production efficiency on the lines.
Reduce production errors, improve quality, and boost efficiency.
Adhere to production schedules, assign personnel, supervise progress, and resolve line constraints.
Report results through shift production summaries.
Conduct training programs based on production needs.
Perform annual employee performance evaluations.
Maintain labor relations with the local union per the CBA.
Act as liaison between Manufacturing and Engineering teams.
Support measurement and documentation of manufacturing processes.
Support digitalization with tools like Digital Work Instructions, Operator Displays, and Dashboards.

We are looking for a Fabrication Production Supervisor located in our Pomona, CA location.

Working hours are typically 5:00AM - 3:30PM

Key Responsibilities:

Safety and Production Efficiency: Improve safety for all personnel in and around production lines.
Lead efforts to decrease production errors, improve quality, and boost efficiency.
Production Management: Adhere to production schedules, assign personnel to work areas, supervise progress, and resolve line constraint problems.
Report results through shift production summaries.
Training and Development:
Conduct training programs based on production needs.
Perform annual employee performance evaluations.
Labor Relations: Maintain a working relationship with the local union, adhering to the collective bargaining agreement.
Teamwork and Liaison: Act as a liaison between Manufacturing and Engineering teams.
Support performance measurement and documentation of manufacturing processes.
Support digitalization efforts by implementing tools like Digital Work Instructions, Operator Displays, and Performance/Status Dashboards.

Basic Qualifications:

2+ years of successful experience in an Assembly/Manufacturing with experience in Fabrication or related field in a supervisory role.
Mechanical proficiency with experience using hand tools.
Project Management Experience.
Proficiency in data collection and analysis.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
Strong leadership and time management skills.
Full understanding and application of management approaches for work direction, motivation, talent development, and performance management.
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience.
Experience with computer programming and/or database management.
Experience with SAP or similar MRP system.

The pay range for this position is $80k - $100k annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
