Job summary

Star Staffing is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead a production shift in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in California. This hands-on role ensures safety, quality, productivity, staffing, and production goals are met.

The ideal candidate has 5–7+ years in production or manufacturing with supervisory experience; bilingual English/Spanish is required. A degree in Manufacturing, Operations, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience leading production teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Food, dairy, beverage, or other regulated manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with Lean/ Six Sigma or continuous improvement is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities and ensure schedules and production goals are met.
• Supervise, coach, and support production employees.
• Manage staffing, attendance, and schedule changes.
• Monitor production metrics and downtime.
• Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Sanitation, Warehouse, and HR.
• Ensure SOPs, GMPs, food safety, quality and safety requirements.
• Oversee production documentation and records.
• Support employee training, onboarding, and performance management.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity and efficiency.
• Ensure effective communication and shift handoffs.

Production Supervisor – Direct Hire Salary: $79,000–$92,000/year Schedule: 3:00 AM–12PM

Our client is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead a production shift in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role provides hands‑on leadership to production employees while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, staffing, and production goals are met.

What You’ll Do

• Lead daily production activities and ensure schedules and production goals are met
• Supervise, coach, and support production employees
• Manage staffing, employee assignments, attendance, and schedule changes
• Monitor production, labor efficiency, waste, yield, and downtime
• Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Sanitation, Warehouse, and HR to resolve operational issues
• Ensure employees follow SOPs, GMPs, food safety, quality, and safety requirements
• Oversee production documentation and ensure records are accurate and completed on time
• Support employee training, onboarding, and performance management
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency
• Ensure effective communication and shift handoffs

What We’re Looking For
