Job Summary

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinates and directs production activities to ensure goods are manufactured efficiently.
  • Analyzes production documents to determine requirements and plans work schedules accordingly.
  • Collaborates with other supervisors to coordinate operations between departments.
  • Maintains accurate records of operations data including employee time, production, and costs.
  • Prepares reports on shift performance for departmental supervisors.
  • Implements measures to motivate employees and enhance production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • A minimum of HS graduate/GED.
  • Education beyond the minimum is an added advantage for career development activities.
  • It is preferred that an individual in this position have attained a minimum of 3 - 5 years industry experience or equivalent experience in a similar industry.

Certifications
  • Leadership Training Courses.
  • First Aid and CPR.
  • May require one or more of the following certifications depending upon area assigned: RCRA certification (hazardous waste management), DOT certification, HVAC certification, and/or 608 Universal Refrigerant.
Work Environment
  • Ability to work in manufacturing facilities and regularly be exposed to varying and extreme temperatures, loud noises, dust, chemical fumes, sharp metal objects and heavy forklift traffic.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb, stoop, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time during working hours.
