Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking a Production Supervisor – Continuous Improvement (Engineering Focus) to lead metal fabrication operations with a hands-on approach. You will apply engineering analysis and Lean methods to improve throughput, reduce waste, and coach frontline teams across safety, quality, and productivity objectives.

The role collaborates with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to optimize equipment, tooling, and processes, driving sustainable improvements and performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Mechanical/industrial background with manufacturing leadership experience.
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma knowledge with data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production teams across assigned manufacturing areas, ensuring daily safety, quality, productivity, labor utilization, and performance objectives are achieved with coaching.
• Enforce safety policies, PPE, lockout/tagout and machine-specific standards while maintaining a safe work environment.
• Lead continuous improvement using Lean, 5 Whys, Fishbone, DMAIC, PDCA, 8D to reduce waste and improve throughput.
• Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, bottleneck ID, root-cause investigations, and document standard work.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to improve equipment performance and material flow.
• Monitor KPIs (throughput, OEE, downtime) and develop dashboards for data-driven decisions.
• Manage capital projects from concept through startup, coordinating cross-functionally.
