Miller Electric, an ITW company, is seeking to add a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to our Component’s Division.

As a Production Supervisor in our PCBA Center of Excellence, you will play a key role in guiding and supporting our team to meet production goals and maintain high operational standards. You’ll oversee daily operations, monitor performance, and ensure that processes run efficiently while fostering a safe, positive, and engaged work environment. As a leader, you will focus on developing your teams and recognizing individual performance, all while upholding our Cultural Standards.

How You Will Make an Impact

Leadership

  • Lead by example in professionalism, communication, and problem-solving.
  • Support Line Leaders with mentorship, feedback, and growth opportunities.
  • Coach teams to be proactive, accountable, and quality-driven, while promoting ownership of operations and processes.
  • Champion continuous improvement, involving team members in identifying and implementing process enhancements.
  • Maintain visibility on the floor, providing real-time support, coaching, and engagement.
  • Adapt leadership style based on team needs, individual personalities, and production demands.

Safety

  • Encourage open discussion about safety concerns and empower team members to speak up without fear of blame.
  • Promote an engaged and safe workplace environment and foster a safety-first mindset where employees have accountability for self and others.
  • Assist/support teams in the utilization of all available resources.
  • Ensure all employees are properly trained in hazard communication, machine guarding, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Ensure quick follow-up on reported concerns, showing that employee input drives real action.

Operations Management

  • In addition to Engineering, you will work closely with support staff, Human Resources, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, and Sales.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to optimize the manufacturing environment, adapting to customer needs through layout improvements, process planning, and equipment selection.
  • Support production systems to drive efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and high-quality delivery.
  • Maintain strong internal business relationships to align operations with customer and division goals.
  • Provide key performance indicators and actively contribute to cross-functional teams and improvement initiatives.

Technical Expertise

  • Able to troubleshoot production machines.
  • Coordinates with maintenance and engineering to minimize downtime.
  • Knowledge of IPC standards.
  • Ensures quality checks are followed through inspections and testing.
  • Monitors and improves key metrics: delivery, efficiency, quality, and rework times.
  • Uses basic problem-solving tools to address recurring issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience in leading a team or project within operations function.
  • Strong computer, oral and written communication skills.
