Leggett & Platt, Incorporated is seeking to hire an Evening/Night Shift Supervisor (Coach) to lead production activities at our Spring plant in Monroe, Georgia. This position will work E shift on a 10-hour, four-day schedule with 3-day weekends every week. (Occasionally some Fridays will be needed). We are looking to hire a Production Department Supervisor with proven experience in manufacturing and the ability to coach and develop a successful team.

What You’ll Do

• Lead production employees to ensure job duties are performed safely and effectively
• Conduct safety meetings
• Complete reporting and scheduling duties
• Ensure safety, environmental, and quality compliance
• Facilitate open communication to keep production efficiency
• Maintain accurate attendance and payroll records
• Develop a strong team environment
• Manage turnover
• Ensure quality to minimize scrap and rework
• Initiate corrective and preventive actions when necessary
• Identify, record, and report problems related to product, process, and quality

Minimum Qualifications

• 2-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work with a diverse workforce in both office and manufacturing settings
• Detail-oriented and well-organized
• Ability to motivate others and foster teamwork
• Ability to multitask
• Experience with Safety, Quality Systems, and Continuous Improvement (preferred)
• Previous supervisory experience
