Job summary

EMD Electronics is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee plant operations with a strong safety focus. You will supervise 30-35 employees, promote safety, ensure procedures are followed, and generate daily managerial reports.

The role involves coordinating overtime, disciplinary actions, and supporting CI initiatives. Experience in chemical/manufacturing environments is required, along with SAP familiarity and P&ID knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years’ experience in chemical/manufacturing.
• 1+ years’ experience using Microsoft products.
• Preferred: Associate or Bachelor's degree.
• Experience with SAP and knowledge of P&ID diagrams and ISO/EHS/OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple manufacturing operations and 30–35 employees on rotating schedule.
• Promote safety in the workplace and investigate safety issues.
• Ensure manufacturing teams follow written procedures.
• Create daily reports for managerial review.
• Manage union overtime and vacation scheduling.
• Implement and document disciplinary actions for safety/quality failures.
• Act as Incident Commander in facility emergencies.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
• Support Maintenance with prioritization and troubleshooting.
• Support Transportation Planning and Supply Chain with SAP data entry and on-time delivery.
• Investigate quality complaints and support quality initiatives.
• Work 12-hour shifts with rotating days/nights on a 2-on/2-off/3-on schedule.
