Job Title: Production Supervisor

Supervisor’s Title: Manufacturing Manager

Department: Manufacturing

FLSA: Exempt

Position Overview: Oversee the personnel within the plant, along with managing the manufacturing process to ensure that production lines run efficiently with minimal downtime while adhering to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage and evaluate machine resources to ensure productivity and minimal downtime
2. Strive to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all lines
3. Ensure all employees follow industry standard health and safety guidelines
4. Assure finished goods are in accordance with company quality control guidelines
5. Set ambitious production goals and communicate goals to key personnel
6. Provide motivation, support and guidance to all employees
7. Maintain regulatory compliance and update employees concerning regulatory requirements of the EPA and OSHA
8. Establish and maintain plant policies, procedures, and guidelines consistent with company policies, procedures, and guidelines
9. Establish and monitor compliance with all federal, state, and local statutes
10. Communicate any problems or obstacles to senior management
11. Establish workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product safety or integrity
12. Foster an environment that encourages respectful, honest, and open two-way communication
13. Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a production environment
2. Previous experience in safety and quality is strongly preferred
3. Background in lean manufacturing is a plus
4. Strong interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of the organization
