Purpose/Scope
This position is responsible for improving the Company’s profitability by implementing Lean principles and practices to enhance Safety/5S, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC). The Production Supervisor provides necessary direction to support groups and those within his/her area of responsibility to ensure proper fulfillment of customer orders.
- Manage customer orders to ensure proper fulfillment.
- Ensure all required resources are available to produce the required output.
- Communicate progress toward order fulfillment.
- Manage for daily improvement.
- Establish a lean vision for processes, set SQDC improvement goals, and take actions to achieve these goals.
- Post and monitor SQDC measurements to track progress and identify improvement opportunities.
- Resolve problems with immediate stop-gap measures, support groups, critical data recording, and root-cause elimination.
- Ensure adherence to standard work and implement daily improvements.
- Provide strong leadership.
- Conduct daily startup meetings to review SQDC performance, set goals, review initiatives, discuss issues, and foster team spirit.
- Provide continuous feedback, rewards, or disciplinary actions based on performance.
- Enhance team skills through cross-training, development goals, and task rotation.
- Interview, hire, and train employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Two years of leadership experience in manufacturing or similar environment.

- Flexibility, results-oriented attitude, and commitment to business goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Over four years of supervisory experience in production or similar setting.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods in manufacturing environments with ladders and catwalks.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs., with spatial awareness, climbing, bending, reaching, and use of hand tools.
Work Environment
- 50% in loud, dusty manufacturing environment; 50% in office.
- Environmental conditions include weather variations, noise, dust, and variable lighting.
