TekniPlex is hiring a Production Supervisor for the 3rd shift at our City of Industry, CA facility. You will supervise manufacturing staff, plan work, and drive improvements in methods and equipment. The salary range is $79,000 to $110,000 per year, based on experience.

Qualifications

  • Ability to handle various projects / tasks simultaneously.
  • Computer knowledge in Windows based programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.).
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet business demands.

Job Summary

TekniPlex is hiring a Production Supervisor 3rd Shift for our City of Industry, CA facility. Supervise employees in a manufacturing environment; plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. The salary range for this role is $79,000 to $110,000 annually. Pay is based on experience.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
  • Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related filed preferred or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication and analytical skills working across multiple departments, management levels and functions.
  • Highly developed level of problem-solving skills to manage the production function, utilizing resourcefulness and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to provide effective leadership with innovative and proactive management techniques.
  • Ability to handle various projects / tasks simultaneously.
  • Computer knowledge in Windows based programs (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.).
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet business demands.
