Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for all mixing, baking, forming, and packaging activities required to safely produce quality products with the most efficient use of labor and materials on scheduled shifts and lines.
Job Duties
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Supervise a team of 20 to 80 employees per shift.
- Oversee the direction, coordination, and evaluation of employees, including supervising lead employees.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and laws, including hiring, training, performance appraisal, and discipline.
- Maintain knowledge of SQF, GMP policies, SAP processes, OSHA/MiOSHA regulations, HPS/LEAN tools, and Microsoft Office.
- Manage raw materials to ensure minimum waste and labor costs, and control formula consistency.
- Monitor inventory rotation and maintain a 5S environment.
- Schedule and approve employee work hours, addressing scheduling and payroll issues.
- Ensure compliance with customer service standards and company policies.
- Review production schedules, plan operations, and resolve operational issues to minimize costs and delays.
- Inspect machinery, resolve employee complaints, and handle disciplinary actions.
- Train and develop employees to meet future needs.
- Attend meetings and make presentations as needed.
- Follow GMPs, safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge & Competencies
Knowledge of:
- Maker's Pride procurement, products, and production processes
- Experience with SAP
Skills in:

Ability To
- Define problems, analyze data, and draw conclusions.

Proficiency In

Minimum Qualifications
- 3-5 years supervisory experience in manufacturing, preferably in food or packaging manufacturing.
- Proficiency in MS Office and SAP.
- Excellent communication, conflict management, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership and self-confidence.
- Basic mechanical skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to use hands, see, hear, talk, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in variable conditions.
- Ability to work in variable temperatures and humidity, and perform physical tasks such as climbing and repetitive reaching.
Work Environment
- Ability to work well with others, meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities, and communicate effectively.
- Sponsorship for work authorization is not available; candidates must be legally authorized to work.
