Job summary

Dana Corp is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing teams in a fast-paced environment in Indiana. The role focuses on producing high-quality parts efficiently, on time, and within budget while maintaining safety standards.

The position requires at least a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4 years of supervisory experience, with heavy emphasis on lean practices and continuous improvement. Overtime and weekend work are routinely expected.

• Strong working knowledge of lean manufacturing and machine set-up.
• Ability to work daily overtime and weekends; able to cover all three shifts.

Job Purpose

To lead and manage production teams in a manufacturing environment, ensuring that products are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate employee activities.
• Assist in all items associated with the quality system.
• Continuous improvements to the production program.
• Assist in employee problem response and resolution.
• Maintain acceptable customer quality standards; maintain the quality of production; take necessary corrective action to improve.
• Meet production schedules, measure KPIs and develop & implement countermeasures to meet KPIs.
• Maintains high standards for housekeeping, safety, and general maintenance.
• Monitor employee attendance and assist in maintaining attendance records.
• Administer provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, including coaching employees and administering discipline.
• Maintain discipline within the department.
• Maintain daily timekeeping and production records.

Required Qualifications

• Have a Bachelor degree in a applicable field and a minimum of 4 years of manufacturing supervisory role, or an equivalent number of work experience years as a production supervisor.
• Working knowledge in machine set‑up.
• Working knowledge of lean manufacturing; Experience leading projects; Must have the ability to work daily overtime and weekends as required; Must have the ability to work all three shifts.
• Self motivated.
• Good organizational skills.
• Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Must have excellent attendance record.
