Job summary

Dana Incorporated is seeking a Production Supervisor in Henderson, KY, overseeing daily manufacturing operations to meet targets safely, efficiently, and with high quality. You will lead frontline staff, coordinate workflow, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities include coaching, enforcing 5S, improving process capability, quality control participation, and handling corrective actions to reduce scrap and improve plant efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in manufacturing, management or equivalent preferred.
• 5+ years manufacturing experience preferred.
• 3+ years supervisory experience preferred.
• Forward thinking and self-motivated in continuous improvement production systems.
• Flexibile to work any shift and willing to accept phone calls during off hours.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all employees in your department and manage the flow of production
• Assure 5S throughout facility
• Focus on improving product and process capability
• Able to coach and give disciplinary notices to employees when necessary
• Liaison to Team Leaders on all Shifts (Coach, Lead, & Direct)
• Actively participate in all aspects of quality control as it relates to daily production
• Involved in problem solving and corrective actions related to production issues
• Verify work standards / set up sheets, quality checkpoint sheets and all other production related documents are present at the point of use and up to date and employees follow them.
• Analyze repairs and scrap trends on daily basis and implement immediate and long term corrective actions to achieve yearly scrap goals and plant efficiency
• Monitor vacation/bonus days and attendance of employees in your department
• Update and assess employee-training matrix at all times
• Lead and audit shop floor safety and training for employees in your department

Job Purpose

The Production Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations, ensuring that production targets are met safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards. This role manages frontline employees, coordinates workflow, and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
