Job summary

RTX Corporation's Pratt & Whitney unit in Maine is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift to lead a team responsible for manufacturing and repairing jet engine components. The role emphasizes CORE, LEAN, and continuous improvement to boost quality, throughput, and delivery.

You will manage training, safety, performance reviews, and compliance with FAA and government contracting. Onsite schedule is Monday-Thursday 3 PM start; occasional shift overlap and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2+ years in engineering, manufacturing, or related field.
  • Associate's degree with 4+ years in engineering, manufacturing, or related field.
  • High School Diploma/GED with 6+ years in engineering, manufacturing, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Working knowledge of shop practices, processes and procedures.

What You Will Do:

T he Production Supervisor, 2nd Shift is responsible for providing leadership to one or more Business Unit Cells.

The Production Supervisor, 2nd Shift will apply CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence), LEAN and other continuous improvement techniques to develop and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing quality, throughput and delivery integrity.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to multi-skilled group of team members engaged in the manufacture and repair of jet engine components.

  • Ensure employees are adequately trained and work in a safe and environmentally sound manner.

  • Execute business decisions fairly, conduct annual performance reviews, hold regular toolbox meetings, provide two-way communications, consistent application of policy/work rules, and clear, consistent communication of organizational goals and objectives.

  • Support all legal obligations such as United States Government contracting and Administration of FAA policies and procedures.

  • Sets day-to-day goals and objectives for team members.

  • Responsible for making modifications in systems and processes to solve problems or improve the effectiveness of the work area.

  • Have flexibility relative to off shift work/shift overlap

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, business operations, quality or related field, OR an Associate's degree and a minimum of 4 years of experiencein an engineering, manufacturing operations, business operations, quality or related field

  • In absence of a degree, a High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 6 years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, business operations, quality or related field

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

  • Working knowledge of shop practices, processes and procedures

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Demonstrated skill and success in team leadership, facilitation & coaching skills

  • Working knowledge of new product / process technologies

Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
