Job summary

GE Aerospace in North Carolina is seeking a Operations professional to perform daily plant operations and ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. The role includes Service Shops and requires following prescribed work instructions within a defined framework.

You will collaborate with colleagues to resolve issues, maintain quality, and support customer interfaces as needed. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or four years manufacturing/leadership experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

Responsibilities

  • Executes production according to the appropriate instructions.
  • Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
  • Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
  • Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
  • Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
High school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing or leadership experience
