Job summary

SIGMA-US is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in Seminole, TX to oversee daily material movement, receiving, shipping, and stock control.

The role requires leadership, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in MS Office; SAP experience and bilingual English/Spanish are desired.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Four years warehouse experience.
• Two years leadership experience.
• Pallet jack and forklift certification.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Experience with SAP.

Responsibilities

• Enforce procedures for verification of shipments and inventory.
• Schedule personnel to cover shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
• Inspect warehouse conditions and equipment; arrange repairs or replacements.
• Review processes and propose efficiency improvements; maintain records.
• Mentor staff, answer production questions, and evaluate performance.
• Ensure accurate reporting of warehouse activity and productivity (timesheets, yields, etc.).
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of workers engaged in material movement, handling, receiving, loading, unloading, transporting, stacking, order filling, shipping, and maintaining warehouse stock.

Essential Job Functions

• Enforce operational procedures related to verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, material handling, disposition of materials, and maintaining current warehouse inventory.
• Schedule warehouse personnel to ensure proper staffing; direct day to day warehouse functions including shipping, receiving, maintenance, and inventory control.
• Inspect physical conditions of the warehouse and equipment; prepare work orders for repairs and requisition replacement of equipment.
• Review work processes and recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product or service quality; suggest changes to working conditions to increase efficiency; maintain accurate records and prepare required documentation.
• Assist employees, vendors, and customers by answering questions related to production processes, procedures, and services; mentor and train team members; handle general employee inquiries; resolve problems; conduct performance evaluations for warehouse staff.
• Ensure completion and accuracy of reporting on warehouse activities and productivity, including timesheets, yields, pounds per man hour, and reduction of downtime.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Four years of warehouse experience.
• Two years of leadership experience.

Licenses/Certifications

• Pallet jack and forklift certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Experience with SAP.
• One year of experience in a distribution facility.

Environmental / Working Conditions

• Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, 1st and/or 2nd shift.
• Ability to work in temperatures between 35°F and 95°F; may occasionally exceed 95°F.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to stand and use hands and fingers in repetitive motions.
• Frequently required to walk and reach overhead.
• Occasionally required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, or hear.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 70 lbs.
• Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, fumes, and airborne particles.
• Noise levels range from normal office levels to loud warehouse environments.
