Job summary

Grande Cheese Company seeks a hands-on Production Supervisor on 2nd Shift at our Fond du Lac, WI facility to oversee daily production and sanitation, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety. You will lead and support team members, coordinate schedules, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining a safe work environment and meeting production goals.

Schedule is Monday - Friday, 2:00PM-11:00PM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, Leadership, Industrial Tech or related field strongly desired.
• 3+ years manufacturing experience, preferably in the food manufacturing industry, with leadership/management experience.
• Knowledge of lean principles and process optimization.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and effective communication skills.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Ability to understand technical instructions/policies/procedures.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
• Proven leadership and team management abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with safety and quality compliance standards.
• Experience with manufacturing software and data analysis tools.

What you need to be considered for the role:

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, Leadership, Industrial Tech or other related field strongly desired. An equivalent level of experience may be considered.

- Three (3) or more years of manufacturing experience, preferably in the food manufacturing industry, with work experience and/or training related to management/leadership skills required; or A Bachelor's Degree and relevant internship or other management/leadership experience and/or training required.

- Knowledge and experience of lean principles and process optimization.

- Demonstrated leadership ability including ability to effectively speak and present information and respond to questions.

- Basic math, reading, and writing skills.

- Ability to comprehend technical instructions/policies/procedures in written, verbal, or diagram form.

- Basic computer skills (MS Office).

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

- Proven leadership and team management skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Knowledge of manufacturing software and data analysis tools.

- Familiarity with safety and quality compliance standards.

- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred:

- Certification in lean manufacturing, such as Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma preferred.

- Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local food and water regulations, including CFR, FSMA, the PMO, and Bioterrorism Act preferred.

- Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
