Description

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate non-union personnel across manufacturing and assembly of automotive parts, especially timing chain system components.
• Supervise daily activities of employees to meet safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and labor goals.
• Ensure efficient material flow, utilize manpower and equipment effectively.
• Implement continuous improvement plans for equipment and department.
• Monitor and manage the department's budget, aiming to reduce costs.
• Coordinate with Planning, Engineering, and Quality departments.
• Maintain effective communication through meetings and toolbox talks.
• Follow company policies, work rules, and union contracts; resolve work problems; maintain records; coordinate activities; ensure inventory accuracy; make production decisions.
• Work flexible shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) based on operational needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
• Experience in manufacturing, especially automotive, is a plus.
• 3+ years supervisory experience, with preferred experience in heat treating, metal finishing, or working with metals.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Project Management, and ISO procedures.
• Strong multitasking, time management, and communication skills.
• Good judgment and decision-making abilities.
