Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required with 2–5 years of directly related experience
  • Experience leading production teams and coordinating activities
  • Knowledge of safety, ISO/IATF, and lean manufacturing principles

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate production workers and assign work
  • Ensure safety compliance and promote safety improvements
  • Improve product quality to meet customer requirements
  • Develop and enforce cross-training plans for operators
  • Lead minor and support complex continuous improvement projects
  • Ensure calibration and preventive maintenance schedules are followed
  • Plan schedules and estimate worker hours for projects
  • Interview, hire, train, and address employee performance and issues
  • Follow health, safety, ISO/IATF guidelines and housekeeping rules
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job description

Essential Functions And Responsibilities Include The Following.

  • Supervises and coordinates activities of production workers by performing the following duties.
  • Ensures the Safety of all employees by following and enforcing all Safety requirements and promotes Safety improvement activities within responsible areas/ departments.
  • Improve quality of product to customer requirements and promote continuous improvement activities
  • Ensure that all employees are qualified to operate manufacturing equipment and comprehensive cross training plans are developed and implemented
  • Leads minor and supports complex continuous improvement projects
  • Ensure that calibration and PM schedules are met
  • Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment and promotes continuous improvement to operational efficiencies
  • Directly supervises direct non-exempt employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Follow company and departmental principles, rules, guidelines, etc. with regards to health and safety, ISO/IATF requirements, Lean manufacturing principles, and good housekeeping
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education/Experience

Bachelor\'s degree from four-year college or university and 2 to 5 years of directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk and listen. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
