Purpose Statement
The Production Supervisor is responsible for directing the activities of the Production Leads with an emphasis on product quality, on‑time delivery, and factory production efficiency. Additionally, the Production Supervisor is responsible to support the key business metrics, team member engagement and workplace safety.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Direct Production Lead activities emphasizing product quality, on‑time delivery, and factory production efficiency while supporting key business metrics, general housekeeping, and workplace safety.
- Establish effective communication among all shift team members and functional teams to address production‑related concerns, set manufacturing goals, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Identify and address resource needs, ensure production schedules are met, and supervise the Production Leads and operators to meet daily production needs while providing coaching to subordinates and developing team skills.
- Communicate and assist in resolving part shortages, monitor and prioritize material orders, and collaborate with Planners and Manager to manage all processes and shifts.
- Conduct people‑leader activities such as approving time off/leave, conducting performance appraisals, coaching, disciplinary action, and maintaining company policies and procedures. Provide mentoring, leadership, and direction for the team to increase employee engagement and retention of talent.
- Responsible to exemplify and hold the team accountable to demonstrating the Plexus Core Values. Leader will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning, and ensuring their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.
Education & Experience Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with 3 or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
- Supervisory experience of two (2) years is required.
- Additionally, the employee must successfully complete all internal courses offered by the company necessary to do the job.
Other Qualifications
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Good written and oral communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Work safely at all times and maintain confidentiality of all customer and company information.
- Experience with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and ability to learn Plexus Data Collection and MRP/ERP systems.
Salary Range: $58,300.00 – $87,500.00
