Axalta is seeking a Production Supervisor for our Houston, TX facility to lead daily shift operations. You will ensure safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing activities while driving productivity and quality.

This role requires coaching front-line teams, managing staffing, and delivering results against production targets. As a frontline leader, you will champion safety, mentor employees, and participate in continuous improvement efforts to reduce waste and optimize processes.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the safe, efficient, and consistent execution of daily manufacturing operations within their assigned area. This role leads front-line employees, ensures compliance with safety and quality standards, and delivers performance against production, cost, and delivery targets. The supervisor serves as the primary link between management and hourly employees, driving accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement. Reports To: Manufacturing Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily shift operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and schedule attainment.
• Enforce safety policies, housekeeping standards, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications & Competencies

• Safety & Compliance Strong commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance. Ability to identify risks, resolve unsafe conditions, and promote a safety-first culture.
• Operations & Quality Experience executing production plans and meeting operational goals. Understanding of quality systems, process controls, and continuous improvement principles. Ability to analyze performance metrics and take corrective action.
• Leadership Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop front-line employees. Strong coaching, accountability, and team-building skills. Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across shifts and departments.
• Problem Solving Ability to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and drive sustainable improvements. Experience supporting Lean, Kaizen, 6S, or similar operational excellence programs preferred.

Work Environment
