Production Manager
2nd Shift – 2:45 to 11:00 PM
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Converting production area. Provide direct supervision to production employees. Plans daily work schedules, determines priorities, allocates work assignments, and regulates production process to meet specific daily production requirements. Evaluates employee performance and provides necessary feedback. Utilizes corrective action to resolve conflict and inappropriate behaviors.
Provides appropriate training and instructions to employees on standard and new operating procedures. Ensures a safe working environment through formal inspections, correcting unsafe behaviors, safety meetings, and utilizing proper work methods, procedures and equipment.
The successful candidate will possess 5+ years of progressive experience in plant operations and 2+ years of management. An associate’s degree is preferred.
A basic understanding of lean manufacturing. Ability to motivate others, work under pressure and meet deadlines, read, analyze and interpret operational data, have a sense of urgency, be self‑motivated and work independently, process improvement focus, results oriented and proven employee development and team building required. Strong problem‑solving skills are required.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong organizational and customer service skills, computer literacy, and the ability to learn new software programs are required.
