Job summary

Eaton’s AER FMC Fuel Motion Control Systems Aerospace division is seeking a Production Supervisor on the 2nd shift in Euclid, OH. The role supervises the Euclid manufacturing site and leads the team to meet production schedules, quality, and safety goals while implementing Lean tools.

The position reports to production leadership and collaborates with functional and service groups to satisfy customer requirements and drive performance toward financial and strategic goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum three years of supervisory experience in Manufacturing or Operations.

Responsibilities

• Direct all manufacturing personnel to ensure completion of customer requirements.
• Assess performance indicators and take actions to ensure safety, schedule, cost, and quality goals.
• Ensure documentation and system transactions (hours, work orders) meet reporting requirements.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed for consistent, compliant manufactured product.
• Provide leadership to support improvements in quality, productivity and delivery.
• Address EH&S issues per local regulations and company policy.
• Evaluate operational performance to facilitate performance management and improvements.
• Specify job assignments and monitor performance to meet delivery and cost needs.
• Coordinate with manufacturing initiatives and cross-functional teams to drive best practices.
• Identify critical machines for setup reduction and reduce setup times.
• Develop and implement standardized work for all key processes.
• Manage on-shift training execution, documentation and follow-up.
• On-shift facilities management and maintenance alerts/communication to following shift.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What You’ll Do

Eaton’s Aerospace Group has an opening for a Production Supervisor located in the Euclid, OH facility.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the overall supervision of the Euclid manufacturing site from the hours of M-F ... 3:30 pm – 12:00 am . This individual will lead the manufacturing team in achieving production schedule, product quality, product cost, and employee safety goals. This role will also coordinate with all functional and service groups to meet customer requirements, and drives performance to achieve or exceed financial plans and strategic goals. The individual will also be responsible for implementing Lean Manufacturing tools within the focused factory, while motivating the team to create high performance culture.

Job Responsibilities

• Direct all manufacturing personnel to ensure completion of customer requirements.
• Assess performance indicators, and take appropriate actions, to ensure safety, schedule, cost, and quality goals are met.
• Ensure that required documentation and/or system transactions (employee hours, work order postings, etc.) are executed to meet customer, manufacturing system, and financial reporting requirements.
• Assure that policies, procedures, and other documentation are followed to ensure consistent and compliant manufactured product.
• Provide leadership and commitment in support of continuing improvements in quality, productivity and delivery performance.
• Assure that Environmental, Health, and Safety issues are addressed considering local regulations, Eaton policy, and good corporate citizenship.
• Evaluate operational performance of the group in order to facilitate performance management, commendations, and improvements.
• Specify job assignments for manufacturing personnel, and monitor performance, to achieve product delivery and cost requirements.
• Coordinate and assist with manufacturing initiatives, participate on teams in order to drive best practices across manufacturing.
• Identify critical machine for set-up reduction and reduce set-up times.
• Develop and implement standardized work for all critical processes in the machining, assembly, and test areas.
• Manage on shift training execution, documentation and follow up.
• On shift facilities management and maintenance alerts/communication to following shift.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution is required.
• Minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience in a Manufacturing or Operations environment .
