Job summary

Yanfeng International Automotive Technology Co. Ltd. is seeking a Manager Plant Operations to oversee manufacturing operations, scheduling, and staff performance at the Michigan facility. The role requires hands-on leadership, KPI tracking, and strong problem-solving to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

The candidate will manage cross-functional teams, implement corrective actions, and report updates to senior management, including travel to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 7-10 minimum years of experience with manufacturing operations.
• 5-9 minimum years of experience within the automotive industry.
• Experience in automotive injection molding, assembly or related processes.
• Willingness to travel and work at customer sites including industrial plants.
• Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and direct the manufacturing operation to meet production schedules safely and efficiently.
• Monitor daily KPIs to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Provide root cause analysis of production and quality issues and act on risk assessments.
• Develop and implement action plans to meet or exceed KPI targets.
• Lead plant initiatives to ensure Operations compliance (YFIMS and YF iOS).
• Oversee staff levels by shift and control overtime.
• Ensure adherence to plant guidelines and procedures.
• Provide daily updates to Plant Manager and weekly summaries.

Manager Plant Operations

Job Description

The Operations Manager is responsible for managing the Manufacturing Operations of the facility and the Operations staff. The Operations Manager plans, organizes, and directs the manufacturing operation of the facility to ensure the most effective return on assets, obtainment of production schedules, meeting customer requirements, and overall business objectives.

Main Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and direct the manufacturing operation to ensure the obtainment of production schedules in a safeand efficient manner.
• Monitor daily established KPI’s to ensure customerrequirements are met.
• Provide root cause analysis of production and quality issues and make appropriate decisions based on risk analysis.
• Develop and implement action plans to meet or exceed KPI’s when they are not met.
• Lead YFIMS and YF iOS plant floor initiatives to ensure Operations compliance.
• Oversee staff levels within each department by shift and ensure not to exceed authorized levels. Monitorand control planned and unexpected overtime.
• Assure that all plant guidelinesand procedures are adhered to.
• Communicate regularly with direct reports and management and supervise their performance in all functions including performance evaluation.
• Provide Plant Manager a daily production update and weekly summary.

Additional Responsibilities may include:

• Provide Plant manager monthly production information for monthly MOR.
• Positionmay have some department managers reporting into; CI, Maintenance, Tooling, Launch, Engineering, Supply Chain and Production Managers.

Required Education Level

• Bachelor's Level Degree
• Area of Study:Engineering, Business Administration, or Similar

Required Qualifications

• 7-10 Minimum Years of Experience with manufacturing experience.
• 5-9 Minimum Years of Experience within theautomotive industry.
• Experience in automotive injection molding, assembly or otherancillary processes (paint, vacuum forming, IMGL)
• Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
• Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient organizational skills.
• Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise.
