Job summary

Just Born, Inc, a family-owned candy manufacturer in Bethlehem, PA, seeks a Production Supervisor (Off Shift) to lead a 2nd shift team onsite. You will drive operational efficiency, quality, and a culture of continuous improvement in a 24/7 manufacturing operation.

You will supervise a diverse team, uphold safety and food safety standards, manage budgets, and foster professional growth while aligning with our RESPECT philosophy and company values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations Management preferred.
• 2+ years of manufacturing leadership experience required.
• Experience in a unionized environment is highly preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making with root cause analysis.
• Experience with IWS, TPM, Six Sigma/Lean systems or similar is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to lead teams and drive results.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Production Supervisor (Off Shift) to lead a team of associates to drive operational efficiency, product quality, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Work Model:

This is a 2nd Shift fully onsite role, five days per week, supporting a 24/7 manufacturing operation.

• Take accountability for the development of associates, identifying training and advancement opportunities
• Lead problem-solving efforts, using root cause analysis to implement actionable solutions
• Promote a strong food safety culture, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards

• Manage budget responsibilities to maintain financial integrity.
• Additional duties & responsibilities as required. May require flexing to other shifts to cover vacations/absences.

Your Qualifications That Will Ensure Success

• Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree required. Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations Management focus preferred.
• A combination of education,trainingand experience that results indemonstratedabilities may be substituted.
• 2+ years of manufacturing leadership experience required
• Experience leading within a unionized environment is highly preferred
• Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills, with proven abilities to carry out a root cause analysis
• Experience with an IWS (Integrated Work System), TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), Six Sigma Leansystem, or other
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration
• Excellent time management to meet production deadlines and ensure workflow efficiency
• Skilled in conflict resolution and fostering a positive, harmonious work environment
• Active listener, valuing team input and feedback
• Adaptable to changing conditions, making quick decisions and capable of adjusting strategies as needed
• Confident leader, providing clear direction and motivating teams to perform at their best
• Critical thinker with strong reasoning skills for evaluating solutions and taking action
