CJ Schwan’s in Sidney, OH is seeking a Production Supervisor - 1st Shift to lead manufacturing associates at our frozen pizza plant. You will direct production, packaging, and bakery lines, ensuring USDA and company standards are met.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 4+ years related work experience, 2+ years in supervision, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Knowledge of USDA, FDA, and BRC regulations preferred.
• Experience with robotics used in production.
• Strong communication and leadership to maintain a positive work environment.
• Ability to read safety rules and write routine reports and correspondence.
• Experience with SAP is beneficial.

• Oversee safety, housekeeping, policy administration, and cost control.

• Collaborate with USDA on site to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Review and sign off on QA and HACCP documentation.
• Monitor product quality, usage, waste, counts, and weights.

What you will do:

• Directs production, packaging, and bakery on production lines to ensure company and USDA requirements are met
• Being responsible for interviewing and hiring qualified employees, following EEO and Affadditive Action guidelines
• Manages employee performance and skills development conducts performance appraisals and administers disciplinary action, including employment terminations when necessary
• Responsible for safety, housekeeping, policy administration, employee relations, cost control, and problem-solving
• Adjust daily work schedule as needed to meet production requirements.
• Works closely with USDA representative on site to ensure all company, state, and federal requirements for food safety are met
• Reviews and signs off on all Quality Assurance and HACCP documentation
• Checks product quality, usage, waste, product counts, and weights to assure performance and attainment

What we look for:

• Education: High School diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum of4 years related work experience preferably in food industry manufacturing or equivalent combination of education and experience, with minimum of 2 years in supervision
• SAP experience beneficial
• Intermediate knowledge of robotics used in production
• Ability to effectively supervise line employees
• Strong communication and reasoning skills to provide a positive work environment
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals and ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Knowledge of USDA, FDA, and BRC regulations preferred

The base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $99,000 annually, with eligibility for a 10% annual incentive bonus based on organizational performance. The range reflects factors such as experience, skills, education, certifications, and location, and starting salary may fall anywhere within the stated range.
