Job summary

Freudenberg Medical in Beverly, MA is seeking a Production Supervisor (1st Shift) to oversee manufacturing operations and ensure all products meet quality specifications. You will supervise teams across three shifts, maintain daily production schedules, and drive continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.

The role requires 4+ years of lead or supervisory experience in manufacturing, strong English communication, and familiarity with SAP, Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a lead or supervisor.
• Proficient in Word and Excel; SAP knowledge preferred.
• Clear reading/writing in English; bilingual optional.

Responsibilities

• Supervise employees across three shifts and ensure quality specifications per process order and inspections.
• Create and maintain daily production schedule to meet due dates while maintaining or improving efficiencies.
• Notify facilities when equipment requires maintenance or repair and assist engineering or technicians with validation.
• Complete and participate in 5S audits and scrap reduction projects.
• Supervise personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions.

You support our team as

Production Supervisor (1st Shift)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all products manufactured to meet or exceed all quality specifications per process order, quality inspections and all other required documents provided.
• Supervise employees across three (3) shifts
• Supervise various manufacturing and measurement equipment in a safe and orderly manner and notifies Operations Manager when operating problems occur or standards cannot be met.
• Notifies the facilities department when equipment requires maintenance or repair.
• Develop and train all manufacturing floor staff making sure standard work and practice is being followed.
• Create and maintain daily production schedule to meet or exceed all due dates assigned while maintaining or improving efficiencies.
• Determine training targets, update and maintain versatility matrix.
• Assist engineering or manufacturing technicians with validation of processes, product and tooling.
• Complete and participate in 5s audits and 5s maintenance as well as scrap reduction projects.
• Supervisors have joint authority for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions.

Qualifications

• Must have 4 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a lead or a supervisor.
• Knowledge of software including Word and Excel.
• Preferred knowledge of SAP.
• Understanding of manufacturing work environment and quality standards.
• Must be able to clearly read and write and understand the English language
• Prefer bilingual.
• Production Supervisor is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations and employees across all three shifts. Flexibility in work hours is required to effectively support business needs, including occasional early morning, evening, or off-shift coverage.
