Job summary

Flex-O-Glass in Dixon, IL is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a shift of manufacturing staff on 12-hour schedules (day or night). The role focuses on maintaining quality, safety, and productivity across production lines while coordinating with the Production Manager on staffing and schedules.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of manufacturing experience, strong leadership, and the ability to read gauges and operate material handling equipment. A High School Diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to work independently with strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to read measuring devices.
• Ability to supervise and lead a team, promote teamwork, and champion company culture.
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment including forklifts and overhead cranes.
• General computer skills with manufacturing software.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders regularly.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production lines operate at proper speeds and output levels per policies.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Work with Production Manager to assign personnel and set shift schedules.
• Interpret production schedules and provide completion estimates.
• Troubleshoot and maintain machine functionality during shift.
• Perform routine quality control and report defects to management.
• Maintain accuracy of production reporting.
• Coach and train new hires and develop existing employees.
• Verify correct blend of raw materials for each product line.
• Perform other duties as needed to meet plant/company needs.
