Job summary

Press Glass, Inc. is seeking a Production Manager to lead the production team across shifts, ensuring safety, quality and on-time output. The role involves training staff, maintaining schedules, coordinating with maintenance, and driving continuous improvement within the glass fabrication facility.

The position requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on OSHA compliance and efficient resource management. A background in manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; college degree beneficial but not required.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic math skills including the ability to read a tape measure.
• Basic computer skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Leadership experience desired but not required.
• Experience in glass fabrication helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the production team across multiple shifts to meet safety, quality and production goals.
• Train employees on manufacturing processes, procedures, materials, equipment and interactions.
• Identify equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance for repairs.
• Maintain production schedules and update management on progress.
• Monitor safety, lead safety meetings and ensure OSHA standards are followed.
• Support continuous improvement projects and cost control by analyzing resource use.
• Adjust production plans and organize work to optimize departmental efficiency.
• Supervise scheduling, timekeeping, vacations, and performance reviews.
