Job summary

Pilkington North America Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor for a 12-hour Night Shift on a 2-2-3 schedule at our Versailles, KY operation.

You will lead shift teams, uphold safety and quality standards, manage performance, and drive continuous improvement while meeting production and quality targets. The role requires at least 3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work the 2-2-3 night rotation.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams in a fast-paced operational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety principles, quality systems, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proven ability to coach, motivate, develop, and hold employees accountable for performance.
  • Effective problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Accountable for the health, safety, and well-being of employees on shift, ensuring compliance with all Company policies, safety standards, and applicable occupational health and safety legislation
  • Lead and supervise shift operations to achieve production, quality, cost, delivery, and downtime objectives
  • Monitor and manage shop floor performance, providing direction, coaching, and support to employees to meet operational targets
  • Coordinate staffing and scheduling activities to ensure adequate coverage by qualified employees and address absenteeism or staffing shortages
  • Conduct performance management activities, including coaching, employee development, attendance management, and corrective action as required
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and initiate actions to address nonconforming products, processes, or systems
  • Conduct and support audits including safety, quality, standard operating procedures, process, and 5S audits, ensuring corrective actions are completed

  • Experience with workforce planning, scheduling, and employee development

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and regularly walk production areas throughout the shift
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to occasionally climb stairs, bend, stoop, reach, and perform other physical movements required in the workplace
  • Ability to visually inspect equipment, processes, and work areas and respond to changing operational conditions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees in both office and manufacturing environments
  • Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed footwear, and other required safety equipment
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move items up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to work a 2-2-3 schedule consisting of 12-hour shifts
