Production Supervisor – Wentzville, MO
Base pay: $35.00/hr – $40.00/hr
This range is provided by Infotree Global Solutions. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.
Schedule
- Daily: Monday–Saturday
- Rotating shifts – 1st (6am–3pm), 2nd (2pm–11pm), 3rd (10pm–7am)
- Full-time over 3 weeks: 7 days a week; on vacation cover 12‑hr shifts
- Flexibility required to work all three shifts
Overview
The main function of a production supervisor is to supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers.
Responsibilities
- Recommend measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
- Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
- Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance to detect issues.
- Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff; resolve personal grievances.
- Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.
- Ensure safety: enforce PPE use, monitor compliance, and enforce attendance, quality and throughput targets.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of manufacturing experience.
- Union management knowledge and continuous improvement experience.
- Union experience required.
- Mechanical orientation: automotive maintenance experience acceptable.
- Strong verbal communication, attention to detail, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time, and multitask.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and machines/tools.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for precision technical plans.
Other Requirements
- Must have thick skin, be coachable, and able to lead 30+ people in a UAW environment.
- Candidates will need to manage attendance, safety, and rate targets.
