Job summary

Aegis Worldwide is seeking a seasoned Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensure safety, and drive high-quality output. You will coordinate staffing, equipment, and resources while partnering with planning, engineering, and quality to optimize flow and resolve constraints.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field, with 5+ years in manufacturing and at least 2 years in supervision.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or related field.
  • Five+ years in a manufacturing environment with supervisory experience.
  • Experience in a JIT or similar production setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience using ERP systems and production planning tools.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily production operations to ensure safety, timeliness, and quality.
  • Monitor schedules and adjust staffing, equipment, and resources to meet production requirements.
  • Collaborate with planning, logistics, engineering, quality, and cross-functional teams to optimize workflow.
  • Enforce safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements; conduct safety audits and risk assessments.
  • Lead, coach, and develop team leaders and production personnel; manage staffing and performance evaluations.
  • Drive lean initiatives (5S, Kaizen) and waste reduction to improve processes.
  • Track KPIs such as OEE, scrap, downtime, and labor efficiency; report to leadership.

Job description

  • Manage daily production operations, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality production.
  • Monitor production schedules and adjust staffing, equipment, and resources to meet production requirements and delivery commitments.
  • Collaborate with production planning, logistics, engineering, quality, and other cross-functional teams to optimize workflow and resolve production constraints.
  • Enforce applicable safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements.
  • Conduct and support regular safety audits, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
  • Promote a safety-first culture throughout the production team.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Team Leaders and production employees, fostering accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, establish performance goals, and manage staffing requirements.
  • Ensure production activities meet established quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Partner with Quality teams to address non-conformances, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Drive lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, Kaizen, waste reduction, and process optimization.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends, improve performance, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead cost-reduction initiatives through waste elimination, process improvements, and efficient resource utilization.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators, including OEE, scrap, downtime, labor efficiency, and other relevant production metrics.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports and communicate performance, issues, and improvement opportunities to leadership.
  • Support a positive, collaborative work environment focused on safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or a related field preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least two years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Experience working within a Just-In-Time (JIT) or similar production environment preferred.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, workflow optimization, and manufacturing operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop production teams and cross-functional groups.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Experience using ERP systems and production planning tools.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production planning or manufacturing software.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make effective decisions in a fast-paced production environment.
