  • Previous supervisory experience in manufacturing or quality control in a union environment.
  • Knowledge of logic or process control system and familiarity with lab procedures, including lab testing.

Responsibilities

  • Daily production goal achievement
  • Plan, monitor, and appraise production results; coach and discipline staff
  • Provide performance updates and answer information requests
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment per policies
  • Train, develop, and direct production employees
  • Enforce safety guidelines and company standards
  • Supervise union employees under the collective bargaining agreement
  • Collaborate with team on equipment reliability, 5S, and budget
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards
  • Supervise staff who generate hazardous waste
  • Inspect hazardous waste accumulation areas
  • Inventory site-generated hazardous waste
  • Oversee packaging and shipping of hazardous waste
  • Review hazardous waste manifests and LDR forms
  • Resolves manifest discrepancies
  • Assist in waste characterization of site waste
  • Notify emergency personnel and HSE during incidents
  • Participate in annual hazardous waste and DOT training
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Provides production information on performance and progress; answer questions and responds to requests for information
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all equipment and resources in compliance with established policies and procedures
  • Trains, develops, and provides direction to production employees
  • Enforces compliance with safety guidelines and company standards
  • Supervises union employees and maintains working relationship by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement while managing expectations of behavior
  • Work as a team with production staff in the ownership of equipment reliability, 5S establishment and compliance and budget performance
  • Responsible for maintaining established ISO Standards
  • Supervises staff who are hazardous waste generators
  • Inspects hazardous waste accumulation areas
