This job will supervise the production environment and staff, coordinating efforts with the Maintenance and Quality Control departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop mastery of daily operational policies and procedures on the production floor to lead team.
- a. Oversee the staging of raw materials for production, (forklift certification and training
- b. Monitor proper inspection and packing of containers for release to finished goods
- c. Direct work flow and document changes in production, including lot number and work order changes to ensure quality and meet timetables
- d. Responsible to meet production quality and productivity goals
- e. Lead and direct personnel in daily and periodic sanitation policies and procedures
- f. Demonstrate safety in all aspects of job
- Develop working knowledge of Quality Control
- a. Develop full understanding of measurable testing for meeting product specifications
- b. Understand basic documentation requirements to meet corrective action and defective
- c. Assist staff in resolving complex problems or issues beyond the scope of standard procedures in situations where marginal product is being produced
- Develop a solid foundation of mechanical and operational knowledge with production equipment.
- a. Monitor production processes on blow mold machines to maintain product specifications
- b. Ability to troubleshoot minor issues with auxiliary equipment to keep production lines running efficiently
- c. Develop ability to stop, start and run in a project in the absence of maintenance staff
- d. Understand mechanical operation of equipment to the extent that the supervisor may assist in troubleshooting quality and operational issues as they arise in production
- e. Manage the use of auxiliary production equipment and facility resources for the most efficient use of utilities
- Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures
- a. Work with Human Resources to conduct interviews, hire new staff, train and evaluate each employee on the supervisor’s team
- b. Coach, motivate, develop and retain a qualified production team
- c. Conduct employee performance reviews establishing employee goals and expectations
- d. Coordinate team meetings and training sessions
- e. Responsible for staff work assignments/rotations, employee training, employee breaks, overtime assignments and back-up for absent employees
- f. Provide accurate and timely documentation on employees, incidents, safety and sanitation as required
Food Safety Responsibilities
Train and supervise employees to:
- Handle bottles in such a way as to avoid inserting fingers inside bottles
- Ensure packaging materials never come in contact with the floor
- Ensure bottles are sealed in packaging in a quick and efficient manner to minimize exposure to ambient air and the possibility of contamination
- Ensure pallets are stretch-wrapped so there are no gaps from the pallet to the top slip sheet

Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Manufacturing background desirable, but not mandatory.
- Management experience or demonstration of leadership capabilities required.
Language Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other
