Carmeuse in Strasburg, Virginia is hiring a Production Supervisor at its quarry. The role focuses on maintaining safe workplace and achieving production targets for mining and stripping.

You will be the main contact for contractors and truckers, manage data capture (SAP, EMS, timecards, blast reporting), oversee staff productivity and training, and ensure procedures and safety programs are followed in line with MSHA inspections.

Formación

• Three+ years of experience in a mining environment.
• Understanding of heavy equipment.
• Experience with SAP data capture and timecards.
• Safety program knowledge and MSHA inspections.
• Drilling, blasting, mobile equipment knowledge preferred.

The supervisor maintains a safe workplace and culture, meets budgeted production targets for both mining and stripping, maintains environmental compliance, is the main contact for contractors and truckers, manages data capture including SAP inputs, timecards, the EMS system and blast reporting, manages employee productivity and training plans, verifies that procedures and work instructions are followed, gives feedback to the maintenance team and executes the Ore Control Program. Carmeuse asks for at least three years of experience in a mining environment and an understanding of heavy equipment, with an associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred; broad safety program knowledge (incident investigation, training, workplace inspections, MSHA inspections) is expected, and drilling, blasting, mobile equipment operation and basic mine planning knowledge are preferred.
