Job summary

ZF in Charleston, SC is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations, guide a team of supervisors and operators, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery. The role emphasizes coaching, problem-solving, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced automotive environment.

You will drive performance using KPIs, SAP, and other business systems, manage schedules, and foster a collaborative culture while maintaining compliance with company policies and industry

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing plant leadership role; automotive industry experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems, analyze data, and make sound decisions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Drive production performance and OEE by meeting goals for safety, quality, delivery, availability, and efficiency.
  • Coordinate daily production activities, prioritize work, assign resources, and ensure schedules and business objectives are met.
  • Monitor operations and escalate production, quality, maintenance, or staffing issues to support timely resolution.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture through effective communication, employee engagement, coaching, mentoring, and regular performance discussions.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on waste reduction, operational efficiency, quality improvement, and problem-solving.
  • Use KPIs, SAP, and business systems to monitor performance, support decisions, manage time and attendance, and maintain operational continuity.
