Sioux Steel Company is looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations on the Lennox, SD shop floor. Sioux Steel is a family-owned manufacturer committed to quality, continuous improvement, and building strong teams. We are looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations, develop our people, and help drive safe, efficient, and consistent production.
This role is ideal for an experienced manufacturing leader who isn't afraid to be on the floor, jump in when needed, and lead by example.
As our Production Supervisor, you'll oversee daily production while working closely with employees, leadership, Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering, Sales, Customer Service, and other teams. You'll help ensure production goals are met while improving processes, reducing downtime, and building accountability across the operation.
Leadership & People Development: Builds strong teams through coaching, clear expectations, feedback, and accountability.
Execution & Accountability: Takes ownership, follows through, and keeps teams focused on production goals.
Problem Solving: Looks beyond the immediate issue to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
Communication & Collaboration: Keeps teams aligned and works effectively across departments.
Continuous Improvement: Identifies opportunities to reduce downtime, rework, variability, and inefficient processes.
Operational Discipline: Builds and maintains systems, standard work, and routines that create consistency across production.
This position requires regular movement throughout a manufacturing environment, use of required PPE, and the ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs., climb stairs or ladders, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach. Occasional travel may be required.
