Progress Rail, a Caterpillar company, is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale for their assigned shift or area. The role involves managing team members to meet standards, leading, coaching, and performance managing, as well as identifying and resolving production issues. The supervisor will also champion lean manufacturing and continuous improvement efforts across the facility.

Key Responsibilities

1. Ensure safety protocols are followed and safety goals are met.
2. Maintain product quality standards and ensure timely completion of corrective actions.
3. Allocate resources efficiently to meet production and efficiency targets.
4. Manage overtime and identify cost reduction opportunities.
5. Communicate performance expectations and departmental goals.
6. Lead, coach, and conduct performance reviews for team members.
7. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in engineering, operations, or manufacturing.
• Experience in a high-volume, highly-engineered heavy industry environment.
• Training in problem-solving and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proven ability to coach, mentor, and manage performance.
• Experience supervising employees and team building skills.
• Lean manufacturing experience.
