Job summary

Thermon is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced, onsite environment in San Marcos, TX. You will drive safety, quality, productivity, and delivery targets while developing and coaching a team of production staff.

The role requires 5+ years of supervisory experience, strong leadership, and knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to advance continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate or bachelor's degree preferred (Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field).
• 5 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams and driving performance.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and metrics.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, or overtime as needed.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with ERP or production management systems.

Overview

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced industrial environment to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and delivery targets are met. This role requires a strong people leader who can motivate, develop, and manage a team while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (Onsite). 100 Thermon Dr. San Marcos, TX.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations Management

• Oversee day-to-day production activities to ensure schedules, quality standards, and efficiency targets are achieved
• Coordinate workflow, staffing, and resources to meet production demands in a high-volume manufacturing environment
• Monitor production performance metrics (e.g., throughput, downtime, scrap, OEE) and implement corrective actions
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing best practices

People Leadership & Development

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of production employees, including training, performance management, and employee engagement
• Foster a positive, accountable, and safety-first work culture
• Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and feedback sessions
• Address employee relations issues in partnership with HR, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies

Safety & Compliance

• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture; ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
• Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
• Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to environmental and regulatory standards

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities for process improvements, waste reduction, and efficiency gains
• Support Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, maintenance, quality) to optimize production processes

Quality Assurance

• Ensure products meet all quality specifications and regulatory requirements
• Partner with the quality team to investigate and resolve production issues
• Drive accountability for quality at all levels of the production team

Physical Requirements
